The Vintage View

The last century has left an undeniable mark on today's fashion industry. Whether it be mini skirts inspired by Mary Quant revived with a high waisted twist or the 70s wide legged trousers that found a place amongst the spring 2011 collections updated with bold prints, 80s floaty tops and 70s inspired platforms.

In fact it seems to be the trend that designers should revive decades for their new collections.  Fashion Journalist Petsa Kaffens has already predicted 2012s decade crush: "Vintage always makes a comeback and this year it's the 40s." 


The 2011/2012 collections of Gucci, Jean Paul Gaultier, Donna Karen and Prada have embraced 40s glamour with cutesy dresses, pencil skirts and feminine pussy bow blouses. The thing is, everyone loves vintage, so why not bring it back.
